The Big Tour
2 1/2 Hours - $85
This tour combines the Downtown Walking Tour (described above) but continues on into funky South Austin starting with a visit to the former site of the Armadillo World Headquarters. We'll take a break at a nearby restaurant for a complimentary beverage, peruse a collection of poster art and photography that documented the Austin music scene, and depending on the day of your tour we'll visit one of two museums in town devoted to Austin and Texas music. We'll end the tour back where we started at the Driskill Hotel in the heart of Austin.
These tours can be conducted in the morning or afternoon to suit your schedule. All tours start at the same location, the 6th St entrance to the Driskill Hotel.
The walking route is level with good even surfaces. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat or cap and a water bottle are recommended. There are several places along the walking route where you can purchase water or a cool drink.
